The Queen of Beads hits Prague

The fantastic and simple jewellery range from Nikki-B has finally arrived in Prague.  Already a big hit, the Spring range has sold out, and with the arrival of summer collection just around the corner its will be the accessory of the summer.  Nikki Butler the designer behind the brand is based in New York and has been named the "Queen of Beads" by US Vogue.  Her pieces can be found in bouiques around the world including Colette, The Cross, Nikki Beach, Henri Bendels, Wink and many more and now at Gallery by Mnty Concept Club.

As one of our regular pieces on the wall the Zebra Tray has been getting alot of attention and so we decided why keep this beauty to ourselves when we can birng the wonderful collection from Paris to Prague.  So we are delighted to welcome a new desinger Ibride to Gallery.  Their ming vases and table wear is on the hot list of every interior and lifestyle magazine from Elle Deco to Wallpaper.  love minty x

And the nomination are......

Gallery by Minty Concept Club is nominated for best shop of the year 2011.  Eventhough we only openend our doors fully in September 2011 we are very honored and excited to be nominted for this years Prize.  Czech Grand Desgin is one of the most prestigious event of the year for desginers and newcomers so to be acknowledged by the panel is truely an honour.

We share our nomination with two other Shops/Showroom and we would like to hightlight their great work too. So congratulation to Prague Kabinet and Papelote.

Rock and Blog

Its always lovely to see our events interpreted by the guests who come to enjoy our unique atmosphere at Gallery.  The Fashion Fairytale blog has posted a report about our event True Romance, and we can't help but share it with you.

True Romance

We are delighted to be welcoming Ruth from the fantastic Jewellery Brand Zoe and Morgan to Prague.  Ruth will be joining us for an exclusive POP UP at Gallery featuring their AW2011 collection "Tattoo Parlour Etiquette".  Zoe and Morgan designs jewellery with a rock and roll edge, finding inspiration from their travels, lifestyle and experiences.  From their love of illustrations to tattoos their designs evoke a free spirited attitude to life and inspire us to take a leap of faith and set ourselves free.  

The POP UP will be only for two days from Friday 25th till Saturday 26th November 2011.  

Additionally in collaboration with Tribo Tattoo studio to POP UP will feature a Rock A Billy style Tattoo set, bringing to life the inspiration behind this collection.  Tribo has designed exclusive tattoos inspired by the original Zoe and Morgan designs which will be on display during the POP UP.

Carin dress on the street........

The days have been real busy in the last few weeks, so we have really fallen behind on catching up with our favorite blogs.  So imagine our delight when we found this great picture on The Sartorialist with the lady wearing the beautiful dress from Carin Wester.  The Otill dress is the perfect mix of Swedish cool and girlie flirt, with a lovely print in blue and brown.  Don't forget to check in at Gallery as we have only a few left.

Can't keep my eyes off of you

Recently our attention has been drawn to a very talented Illustrator Cate Parr.  Her fashion driven images in watercolour are inspired by Designer's current collections and campaigns.  The use of watercolours is so dreamy evoking a romance that is sometimes lost in other forms of fashion mediums. Its a perfect love story between the world of fashion and the subjective view of the eye of the beholder.

Birds of Paradise

Fashion illustration is a fascination emerging trend which is getting much deserved attention.  We are all drawn to strong imagery and the medium of illustration is the perfect place to enjoy ourselves.  T'he work of Sprios Halaris is not exception.  His use of various techniques using collages, hand drawings and digital imagery produces very strong images that are graphic at the same time moving.  His work in collaboration with Robert Tirado titled: "Girls and Birds" is fashion graphic symbiosis.

On our wall, Jean-Michel Basquiat

Basquiat is one of our favourite artists whose work is a constant source of inspiration.  His graffiti style and bold brush strokes is a vibrant energy that clashes with our white walls.  Looking at his painting is a visual feast, accidental movements with punctuated expression.  His work has been influencing modern culture since the 80's and with his collaborations with the godfather of POP art Andy Warhol, he is undoubtedly our Front Row Fashion Icon.

Purple is the new Black

If you love fashion than you must be already a fan of "Purple Fashion".  This is a fashion magazine with pages and pages of pow wow fashion show down.  The 16th edition is no different packing in a whole lot of fashion loving.......

Graphic Girl

There are many talented friends of minty that come in and out of our office.  Today we had a visit from one of our favourite designers YOKO.  We couldn't help observe the perfect September look she is sporting, combining stripes and spots with the oh so trendy trench.  With loafer style shoes bought in Iceland and a dash of deep pink lipstick, this look is our must for autumn days.

Yoko is one part of the design duo behind the concept Chocolate brand rozbijim se.

Why we love ADELE?

Is it because of her haunting voice, a drop jaw beauty that sings to us songs of love and heartbreak? or could it be that her songs are about ordinary life and falls told to us from a person with perspective on that experience? No for us it is because she is a down to earth woman singing her story and bringing a new edge to British music. Her second Album 21 went straight to the top of i-tunes in 16 countries.

Described in The gentlewoman as "a legitimate heiress to the great tradition of amazing torch singers"

Pick and Vintage Mix

We love this picture from D and Me Boutique, that is the perfect mix of modern jewellery with vintage one offs. Mixing stone embellished rings with one of Gallery's designers Zoe and Morgan fox and snake ring it highlights how to mix and style different looks.  The black Vintage Chanel purse come clutch is a classic piece that will never date.  With the youthful touch of candy pink nail polish this is our inspiration for party glam.

Chanel - Colette POP UP

Its official they are all at it! It seems as if the POP UP phenomenon is in no way slowing down and now with the two cool fashion connections in Paris collaborating together, there is no stopping the movement.....

During Paris Fashion Week just round the corner from Colette an empty garage has been turned into a POP UP store with lots on offer.  This being Paris and the double C's as cool as they come it was not enough jus to take over this space but to have local artists to collaborate on a whole program of events and designs.

From Bag customizing to a Cup cake bar this is surely POP UP Heaven!
